What You will Do:
- Conduct on-farm visits to assess and understand producer goals, herd management needs, and potential opportunities.
- Develop tailored plans to help producers achieve their operational goals by turning technical areas, such as beef nutrition, feed supplementation, reproduction, and genetics, into actionable steps for producers.
- Provide continuous support and technical assistance for producers throughout program implementation.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for producers explaining program requirements, including necessary data and documentation.
- Lead and support data collection on herd health, nutrition, reproduction, and any additional program requirements.
- Maintain detailed records using digital tools to support reporting and evaluation of the program.
- Assist producers on public and private conservation programs and funding opportunities, including those that support herd productivity improvements.
- Collaborate across internal teams to refine program delivery, share learnings, provide producer feedback, and support client-facing deliverables.
- Create reports connecting herd productivity and management data with environmental performance and impact.
- Organize and present at workshops and events, offering insights into the intersection of regenerative agriculture and animal production best practices.
- Assist in developing training and educational materials and content for producers.
What We are Looking For:
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in animal science, Ranch Management, Veterinary Technology (with large animal experience), or related field.
- Professional experience working with livestock in a clinical or field setting.
- Familiarity with regenerative agriculture practices including forage, cover crops, and grazing management.
- High proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and experience working with digital recordkeeping, data entry, or program management tools.
- Strong communication skills and experience communicating with producers and technical teams.
- Highly motivated self-starter able to thrive in ambiguous situations.
- Enjoys working collaboratively to achieve team goals.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work effectively and independently in a remote team environment.
- General Information:
- Located in: North Dakota, South Dakota, Montana, Nebraska, Minnesota.
- Employment is contingent upon the job location. Any relocation must be pre-approved by the company.
- Moderate local/regional travel is expected (overnight travel 40-50 nights per year).
- Frequent sitting for long durations of time throughout the day is required.
- Occasional lifting and carrying of lightweight equipment during travel may be required.
- The ability to use a computer and type/use mouse for extended durations of the day is required.
- The ability to see and read text on a computer screen, as well as visual material for design and marketing purposes is required.
- The ability to hear and participate in remote meeting and discussions via audio conferencing or video calls is required.
- Must hold a valid driver’s license. Moderate to significant driving may be required as needed for business purposes. Therefore, the ability to sit for an extended period while driving, having manual dexterity to handle the steering wheel, strong and visual acuity for driving various distances in different lighting conditions is required.
