BEEF PROGRAM
Ranching for the Future
The Ranching for the Future program seeks to enable sustainable efficiency gains for ranches in the Northern Great Plains and Upper Midwest - while also reducing the greenhouse gas impact of beef production. The recently concluded pilot phase helped participants and the program partners understand current management approaches, identify potential emission reducing practices, and analyze market incentives and rewards for those changes. Sign up for news about future phases.
Phase 2 Enrollment Coming Soon
This program is designed for ranchers who are interested in opportunities to improve productivity through herd management; diet changes and feed additives; and nutrient management.
Program Details and Benefits
Throughout this multi-phase program, we will work with producers to make data-informed decisions, navigating options to optimize resiliency and economic return.
Details about the second phase will be available soon.
About the Pilot Phase
In the Pilot Phase, AgSpire advisors visited participating ranches, working with the rancher to understand current management and utilize digital platforms to analyze practice-change options. At the end of this phase, AgSpire advisors shared findings, with a plan for future practice change options that reduce emissions, along with the payment potential for those reductions.
