The Grass is Greener, a Producer First Program, helps producers enhance forage production, plant cover crops, restore land to native pasture, and improve grazing practices - while strengthening operational efficiency and long-term resiliency

Technical Assistance

Our team of experts provide one-on-one guidance and support for seed selection, planting recommendations, and management best-practices.

Incentive Payments

The program provides cost-share opportunities for cover crop establishment, forage plantings, and range plantings.

 

Per-Head Premiums

Additional premiums are available for beef cattle sold into the market on a per lb basis

Program Details

Implement a cover crop, forage, or range planting, maintaining perennials for at least 5 years.

Participation Details

  • Allow soil sampling (up to twice per year) and GPS mapping of the operation
  • Provide AgSpire with operation and field information
  • Sign a 1-year contract

Transitioning to Perennial Systems
