What You will Do:  

Client account management (~70%) 

  • Serve as the day-to-day point of contact for a portfolio of client relationships and engagements, setting the communication approach, leading strategic touchpoints, and acting as the client’s primary point of accountability. 
  • Manage client requirements (targets, timelines, claimability specifications) with on-the-ground project teams across all areas of Scope 3 project implementation, including recruitment, enrollment, technical assistance, data collection, MMRV, protocol alignment, and corporate reporting 
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to client decision-makers, framing trade-offs, preparing high quality recommendations, and guiding clients through technical and commercial choices in alignment with client priorities and AgSpire services, capabilities, and core values.  
  • Align internal delivery teams to account priorities and client objectives, and advocate for the client’s interest in internal resourcing and prioritization discussions.  
  • Ensure client service, work product, and outcome delivery aligns with or exceeds expectations.  
  • Create and quality-check client deliverables, memos, and presentations 
  • Identify expansion opportunities within existing accounts and support proposal development; contribute to the development of business proposals for the expansion and addition of services 
  • Track account health, document decisions, and maintain organized engagement records 

 

Scope 3 / GHG technical work (~30%) 

  • Contribute to project design & management activities, including claimability plan development, protocol alignment questions, quantification approach creation, and efforts to overlay co-benefits 
  • Support efforts to operationalize claimability attributes from plan to action across data collection, MMRV alignment & management, execution of protocol requirements, GHG accounting, and corporate reporting, liaising as needed with AgSpire’s technical assistance team to enable effective project delivery 
  • Act as a liaison between corporate-facing and producer-facing teams to enable the design and pursuit of producer-centric claimability approaches, problem-solving and facilitating alignment where needed 
  • Stay current on relevant standards, protocols, and guidance (e.g., GHG Protocol Land Sector and Removals Standard, SBTi FLAG, Value Change Initiative) to help assess implications for clients and preserve flexibility in program design 

 

What We are Looking For:  

Required 

  • 4+ years of experience in client-facing consulting, account management or program management, ideally in sustainability, agriculture, or environmental services 
  • Working knowledge of production agriculture and corporate GHG accounting, particularly with respect to Scope 3, project-based accounting, and value chain interventions 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to run client meetings independently, translate client needs into business proposals, and write clearly for executive audiences 
  • Advanced PowerPoint skills 
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage client accounts 
  • Comfort managing multiple concurrent projects with competing deadlines 
  • Described by peers as a flexible, innovative critical thinker who excels at problem-solving and pursues practicality and producer centricity over complexity 
  • Comfort operating in a small, fast-moving team where roles flex 

 

Preferred 

  • Direct experience with agricultural supply chains, livestock systems, or conservation programs 
  • Familiarity with GHG Protocol standards, SBTi guidance, and carbon market protocols 
  • Experience supporting USDA conservation (e.g., RCPP, CIG, EQIP) or producer-facing programs 
  • Located in the greater Denver metro area
