How It Works

Producers across the High Plains are asking how to stay competitive raising wheat while improving long-term soil function.

The High Plains Wheat Program provides a framework to do both. Through hands-on technical support and incentive-backed practices, wheat farmers can make the changes they’ve been thinking about that strengthen productivity and resiliency on their farm now, and in the future.

Enrollment for the High Plains Wheat Program is now open. Deadline to enroll is March 15, 2026.
